I still think you're better off not doing it tho. But this was one I found one time and here is a link to a very old thread from where the pic came from. Turns out this guy converted his truck to a dually, and it's lifted.
Well ill have it 11 years this November so....not sure what category I fall in.
Sarge
But do you plan on keeping it another 11 years? Or do you really think you'll buy again in a couple. If you are really thinking you may want to upgrade in the next few years I'd plop that money down on a new one as you seem to keep trucks a while. But if you don't want a payment then that can be a factor too.
This is the best truck Ive ever had and it does everything I need. Its still a pup at 79k, and with the way my business is being so up and down its hard for me to take my extra money and apply it toward a payment every month on a truck I don't drive very often.
SARGE, i take it you own a shop of sorts working on autos? Its always up and down in that business, might get only a few times a yr where everything falls in place and you can breath a little, i owned truck shops [big trucks] almost 30 yrs with few techs at each one till my heart said enough. Far as the dually deal think im going to just get a f450/550 and move on, ive shopped mnths and can get a nice truck less than most f350s nowdays staying with the 6.0.
