I have installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge & sender on my 1978 F-100, 302. The engine is a remanfactured engine with about 50T miles on it. I have disconnected the dash gauge. I am running Rotella Triple T 15w-40 oil.
2 questions -
1. What oil pressure should I be showing at idle?
2. Would both dash & aftermarket gauge work if I hooked the wire to the original sender along with the aftermarket gauge wire - or would it damage the gauge and/or the sender?
