I am installing aftermarket electric water temp & oil pressure gauges on my 1978 F-100, 302. I want to keep the dash gauges working as well.
My question is can the same type of tee fitting be used on both senders - assuming threads are the same? Or does one sender take a different type tee fitting from the other?
Not sure what type of engine your working on but it seems to me that many intake manifolds have extra holes plugged where a second water temp sensor might be installed. You probably will have to use a tee fitting for an extra oil pressure sensor though.
Edit: just read you have a 302... Guess it would depend on which manifold you have. Might be worth a look. Some water necks might have this provision as well. And not that hard to drill and tap threads either.
But I finally decided that I would drop the attempt to hook up both dash and aftermarket gauges. I could have probably have easily hooked up the water temp sender with the use of a proper tee, but the oil pressure - NEVER! The original sender was on the end of a "pipe" and wedged in between the power steering pump and the oil filter.
Placing the correct tee in there and adding another of those canister (or bell shape) senders in there would have been a nightmare. I was barely able to get a wrench in there to remove the original and install the aftermarket sender. Having both dash and aftermarket was just not worth the effort.

When there is the will there is a way but yeah not sure there is much benefit... For the oil you could plumb a soft line and run it to an area with more room to work. But what would this offer that you don't already have? Gauges with a purpose are cool but going gauge crazy is kinda silly.
