Yes, I went to Diesel dynamics this morning and they showed me to pull the longer pipe, put the plate with the bung on the exhaust and use a sensor off the dpf as the egt sensor and the other plate simply blocks off the egr. I thought i would need to pull the short pipe off and still might just as preventative measures but they said that it was not necessary.
I am still spraying my bolts every day just to make pulling the bolt out of the manifold painless...I hope
This is the curved pipe with the flex section and a sensor in it that gets removed? Connects to the right front corner area of the cooler when facing the engine?

No. it's the longer pipe with the stabilizer bolt that gets removed.
Hello all. I don't mean to hijack any forum, but I do have a question about egr delete/block off plates and tuning. I have been reading forums but have not been able to find a definitive answer. My question is, do I just need a tuner to turn off the egr valve or do I need someone to write a custom tune for the delete/block off plate?
I have a sct x4 tuner I had bought for my 2003 6.0. I have read that this tuner will work for my 2012 6.7. In the past, I have had Matt from gearhead write my tunes for my 6.0.
Any info you all have to help me is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your question would be best answered by Matt if you can get in touch with him. You will need a tune of some type to block off or delete the EGR.
Sct4 will work, you will need a tune to remove or ignore the egr
I talked to someone at gearhead and they recommended me to powerstroke engunities. Powerstroke engunities said that a tune had to be written for the 6.7. They also said they could not just write an egr tune but had to write an egr and a dpf delete tune.
