depends on if the station you buy from actually has it already in, most will advertise winter fuel. Personally, I add it as the potential interrupt in my day from being gelled up would really suck.
I live in Colorado. Temps get down to 0 to -10. Do I need to use a cold weather fuel additive?
I have not had issues going down to -10 with the truck sleeping outside. The few times it gets into the -20s up in the hills, then yeah, you'll want to keep some anti-gel on you....the truck may not fully gel, but you will get a DTC for the fuel system. I got that on the 2012 after it sat outside overnight in -27. Still had full power of the truck, albeit it was not happy about the temps.
Also dump the factory oil. It is probably 10-30 dino and go with a synthetic. A lot of us were running rotella T6. Some switched because of the new formulations but T6 is approved again.
