So...major setback today. I was cruising down the highway top get some lunch and all of the sudden, Charlee develops a huge knock and I'm billowing white smoke. Injectors? Video to follow. Smells like fuel

Yup looks like injectors, unplug the vch one at a time to determine which one is the problem.

Do you still have the stock pigtails? Or you went super duty style pig tails? You can still determine which bank it is boy unplugging one at a time.

Stock. It definitely sounded like the passenger side so I'll start there. But sounds bounce around in the engine compartment like crazy so who knows

that is exactly like when I got a piece of trash somehow in one of my injectors at startup. After shutting off tho I literally got a hydrolocked cylinder. that is terrible. Did you drive it home like that?!?!?!



makes me sad..

Oh heck no I called a tow. Just because I have a spare motor doesn't mean I want to grenade this one just to grenade it.

I'm gonna take a look today. I got distracted taking big green mudding yesterday and didn't get anything done lol

Cracked tip, blown lower oring, toasted brass washer, or internal failure. In all cases I would not run it again, pull the injectors and the cylinder filled with fuel will be your culprit based upon that much smoke, if its not hydrolocked already.

I would add pull glow plugs before stick to do a bit of diag first

Lose rockers

And I guess I didn't eat my wheaties when I installed my injectors because none of the bolts were tight. I also lost one lower o ring in the passenger bank. Haven't opened the driver's side up yet
