I was rummaging around the JY the other day and came across some large mirrors that have the feel of a Type 12 Mirror brackets but they appear to be different than the Type 12 ones that I have seen before. The truck was a 1976 F350.
I don't know if they were original to the truck. Clearly, the actual mirrors had been replaced at one time or another. Some of the bracketry (I believe that is a word) reminded me of other Ford stuff I have seen before. Below, I posted the photos of the type 12 image as well as the mirrors on the truck. Any help would be great in identifying the brackets. Could they have been from an older Ford truck?
This is the type 12 mirror image. Please see how the middle bracket runs differently than the one on the mirrors on the 76' truck.
