about how long did it take your shifts to level out?

Within a day. I just sit in the driveway and move the shifter to each location and wait 10 seconds before moving to the next. Then the same back thru the gears back to park. I shut it down for a minute or so then fire it back up, drive it lightly thru the gears. Bring it back to a stop and run it thru the gears at around half throttle then one more time at full throttle. After that, its shifting pretty good. I drive mine like I stole it.
This is the way I do it, and it works fine for me.

i still feel like after a couple days it is still shifting relatively hard, I guess I will give it a few more miles.

You want to do it when up to temp.

It should learn but if your still feeling it remove the tune and then
once up to temp reload the SRL and go do that steps.

It's an adaptive strategy. Drive it hard, it will shift hard progressively and the reverse if your light footed starting from the first time the tunes loaded.

They tune the transmission also correct? I'm really thinking of selling my H&S and getting a Bully Dog just to load the Innovative tunes.

Tranny tunes on some type tuners, yes. SCT are multiple levels tuners, shift on the fly tuners are not, those kinds eat tranny's for lunch.

Until recently Bully Dog was a know tuner to avoid for this exact reason. I believe they have been acquired by SCT or something to that effect.

Tuners that can't turn down shift pressures between gears or remove timing will slam the gears.

Just sold the H&S and ordered the Bully Dog gt. Going to do the Gearhead tunes on top of the Atlas 40 FICM tune.

Why did you chose that tuner over the SCT? I would try and steer you to sell the Bully Dog and purchase the SCT.

It takes sct tunes (same company). Same hardware as the H&S I had on it so I can use the pyro that's already installed with the sensor dock. Can monitor the things I want to monitor. Easy seemless transition and half the price of a Livewire.

Thats a good question. My FICM was tuned after already having the Gearhead tunes. So I dont know. I would ask him about it.
