What year Explorer are you working on? Is it just the parking brake drum setup inside the rotor or does your vehicle have only rear drum brakes? If the parking brake setup, have you taken the rotors off yet to make sure it's only the shoes that need work and not due to a leaking axle seal?

Oh, okay. You probably won't get too many specific details on your F250 in the Explorer forum, but based on your description, the location of those clips is probably exactly where BandBFord shows them.

You have to bend the U closed after it captures the parking brake cable.
