ignition box

where would my ignition box be located and what would it look like
my truck is a 1990 super cab xlt ranger 2.9l 5sp.

The TFI module is located on the distributor.

oh
so do i have to add an ignition to use a carbed v8
what was the computer looking thing i took out of the top of the fire wall

Sounds like the ECU, should have had a bunch of wires going to it. The original 2.9 ignition system is controled by the ECU.

ok it had a big harness connecting to it so i can junk it or sell it since i'm going to a 351w
