Flashing theft light
I have a 2000 Ford Windstar. The theft light blinks when you turn the ignition on or try to start the van. I have read about jumpers
missing in the computer affecting aftermarket chips in this way, but can it do the same to original equipment or do I have a probelem with the theft system. We have 2 keys niether one will start the van. It was intermittent at first but now will not start at all.

Flashing theft light
It has no impact on stock computers. Your PATs keys or PATs anti-theft system is failing. By the way, Windstars are built on the Taurus chassis and aren't covered by this site.
