Anyone doing this? I'm considering adding it. I always buy Weather Techs...and am not a fan of carpeting. Think the carpeting adds sound deadening the vinyl won't? Greasy field mud comes off vinyl much easier...as does wet dog smell.
I will order it. I have always had top end trim trucks, and paid to remove the carpet and replace with the base model rubber mat flooring. I know Weather Techs do okay,.. but if you work out of your truck in a construction/farm environment... the vinyl/rubber flooring is best.
GM and Ford offered this as a "delete" years ago... now it is an add! Funny how that works.
Thanks Josh! You're a literal wealth of knowledge. Have you thought about setting up a thread of just photos from your phone?? Would be AWESOME to have something like that, although I know the time commitment would be substantial.
I'm with you...adding it. Thoughts on noise? Did you drive one with the vinyl? Any additional road noise to report?

Thanks man!

Most all the pics I took are in my thread. Just a lot of scrolling now
As for noise, we only drove that truck on the off-road course. Can't comment on road noise.
So does anyone know if carpet delete option on the XLT trim just give you the same vinyl as a base XL? Also, maybe Josh can clarify the difference between XL vinyl and premium. Other than it being embossed with the word platinum. Premium heavier duth or a thicker gauge maybe?
...Next Josh is going to show me a picture of a lariat, KR, or Platinum with a push to regen button...
Yes please. I really 'enjoy' seeing the regen screen appear as I pull into my neighborhood after spending the last hour at highway speed. Why on earth is regen on command only offered (according to Build and Price) on XL and XLT?
I ordered a Lariat with carpet delete. I have heard about noise issue, but nothing a little Dynamat/Dynapad under the vinyl cant fix. Im ok with having to add some sound deadening to get no carpet. I use my truck for a lot of out doors stuff and with kids its almost a must!
