Power Steering help
After selling my beautiful 1976 i have a chance to get an all original 1976 custom with 26k on the clock. Serial #0001. Only issue I have with it is no power steering. I want to add it but what do I need other than the obvious Pump Bracket, pump, hoses, Steering box? The truck is an I6 with a column shift 3 speed.
Will all shift linkage work?
Power box bolt right in without issue?
Any help or anyone done this?

You'll also need to change the steering column. Power steering boxes are longer than manual boxes, so the P/S column is shorter. The firewall seal for the column is also different.
Once you have everything, the swap is a bolt in.

I've done a many but never a 300/I-6 3 on tree so heed some caution to my word... But!
You can shorten the column 3+" with light welding / fabricating skills to make it work if that's an option?
I think the seals work for both? Think I recall one of the holes is clocked different. I've swapped a many and don't recall the seal being an issue??? Think it just covers up a bolt. Guess all depends on how critique you want to get.
I see absolutely no reason why the shifter linkages would not work? The column and shaft is in the same location. The only difference in columns (besides the seal) was that it was shorter for PS. I swapped a 3 on tree PS for a 302 setup once with no issues. But soon after converted to a floor shift for the column was wore out.
