Has anyone used Dynamat in their cab to quiet down engine and road noise? I was wondering if it realy makes a difference. I checked with a local audio shop here in town and they quoted me a price of $400.00 to do the intire cab of my F-350 4-dr = I don't mind spending the money if it helps. Don't get me wrong I love the sweet sound of the Stroker, but when I roll up the windows I'd like for it to be a little quieter. thanks JL
JL,
That stuff is really good. I used it in my last truck to keep sound in, not out. I had a standard cab Ram with over $5k worth of stereo. I did my doors and back wall of the cab. Did not do all of the floor but it was awesome. I definitely think it will work. Did their price include the inside of the doors as well?
I dunno....I figgered a 4x2 (not to be confused with a 2x4) was 2 driven wheels/tires, a 4x4 was 4 driven wheels/tires, so 6 driven wheels/tires MUST be a 4x6! I know it might not be 100% Texas-correct, but I thought it sounded good, and it helps a lot of people figure out what "DRW" means!
BTW how DO you delete a post now? Is it possible? I don't see a "delete" option anymore. Pretty sure we used to be able to do it.........
dynamat works great for sound dampening, both keeping it in and out. but also check out another material called acoustiblok, www.acoustiblok.com it is supposed to be 2-3 times stronger but I do not have the price on it. hope this helps
