Steering Question

Hi,

This is on my brothers truck (05 F350) but it doesn't look normal to me but I am not near my truck to compare. Can anyone confirm that this doesn't look normal. It look like he could probably tighten the nut on the bottom to close it up temporarily but probably needs to get some steering components replaced. Thanks!

The rubber boot is gone and exposed that joint to the elements. He needs to replace the right outer tierod assembly.
