F superduty help needed
Hey just need a little help, finding a lot of mixed info.
I need to know max towing wieght for a 95 f-superduty with 5-speed and a 7.5l in both configurations. I heard 12,500 max on bumper hitch but don't know how accurate that info is, and haven't found anything about fifth wheel max weight,
Any help would be great
Also I have a cdl so I don't need to be told I'll have to get one to tow lots of weight but thanks anyway, don't mean to come off as arrogant but asked questions about weights before and got A lot of licensing b.s. Which didn't answer anything really

i don't recall without searching but i just wanted to help you in getting more accurate help, by suggesting that you also post your axle code.
axle code 72 = 4.63
axle code 73 = 5.13 (most common)
axle code G3 = 4.30LS (rare)

GVWR of 15,000
CGVWR of 22,000
or truck alone legal for 15,000 lbs. truck with trailer legal for 22,000 lb.
and since the truck weighs around 12,000 lbs, this would give you a total trailer weight of around 10,000 lbs bumper pull or fifth wheel.

your a bit too high on the Tare weight,Tom.my custom stretched (of the already longest wheelbased version) f450 with a dual piston dump,stake body with auto crane comes in at 10,400 lbs.
approx 1k of that is the auto crane,the mounting plates,hardware and battery box.
but then again,who knows i suppose.he could have a bucket truck,tow,or welding setup and weigh even more,so you could be close to right.

It'll probably be my welding truck more then anything, just starting out.
Was thinking when I build the deck I could put a gooseneck in it if it was worth it to do side jobs dragging stuff for the farmers around here
