Front axle u joint doesn't fit?

Am I doing something incorrect? I'm trying to install u joints in the front axle of a 94 F350, I ordered DW-374 joints from Advance Auto, according to the website, this is the correct part, but I can't get it to slide in.

Yes. I pulled the two dust caps off on the left and right side of the joint and tried to slip them in. It just seems too long.
