Car Club - Joining one

Well I finally decided its time to go ahead and join a club. I have had my '56 for a few years now and made a lot of progress but still is not close to being finished. With that said I find myself reaching out for help and information more so now than before and a lot of the places that I used to go to for this is no longer available. Love Fords was my go to it was kind of slow but it was around now its gone. I am on a tbird international club forum but every thing I ask they answer for a Tbird over a fullsize and then they direct me to other places that are dead for my answers.

So I am joining the Crown Victoria Association as it covers all '55-'56-'57 Ford and mercury full sizes.

Only thing is I am apprehensive about putting my serial number in on the application so I just put the first five digits in and left the last five digits off as they are the last 5 digits of the sequential numbers for the serial number.

So has anyone around here joined a club before? If so have you ran into this where they have a place to put in your data plate information?
