Moderate Excursion Build
I am hoping to get some advice. Any info will be appreciated.
I have a 2004 Excursion 6.0 4x4 that I have used for my daily driver for the last 2 years. I recently was provided a truck by the people I work for and want to do a moderate overland build on the truck( a new F150 has to be a ford). I know it's a bit big but it is a great truck that can fit the whole family dogs and gear.
I have had the head gaskets replaced already, put the x code springs on the front and an add a leaf in the back. I am running 315/75/16 all terrains, and a smitty built roof rack with LED lights.
I would like to improve the off road capabilities without loosing too much of the on road ride. Still want a comfortable ride from Florida to South Carolina to go camping.
What other modifications should I consider?
Now I am looking at a winch mount. Go rhino or Fabfours makes one reasonably priced. Also looking into onboard air.
Are there automatic swaybar disconnects or other things I should do as well.
Thanks for any advice.
