Track Bar bushing question

2006 F350 4WD
Anyone do a bushing kit on the track bar? I know that Ford has one
and energysuspension.com | Welcome
does also. XRF does not have one just the ball joint for the other end.

What do you think. Was it easy to get the old one out and the new one in?

Also Anyone have the part number for the kit?
I like the idea on poly over rubber. But I would like it in black and not red.
I am also going to need a ball joint for the other end of the bar where it
attaches to the axle housing.

Thanks

I got 150k out of the original, so I bought OEM - the complete assy.

Note the torque values in the FSM (406 lbs/ft ???) to avoid death wobble.

Other than that, just another repair.

I used the energy suspension red ones and plenty of heat on the drop links to remove the old ones. Hour job or so, good ride again.

And here I thought you were going to ask about shipping a track bar with Grayhound cross country.

Because it's a split bushing is easy to press in right? Did you happen
to do the ball joint also? How was that one?

I bet that sending the track bar would be as costly as sending
a BPD radiator. $150 for shipping that radiator to me. The track
has got to as much to ship.

Rock Auto saves the day.
They have the right part in stock. Black poly

Now I just need the ball joint part number.
Who would be the best for this? XRF maybe.

I didn't do the ball joints, just the bar.

I did the bushing end of the track bar on my truck awhile back. Here's some pics and info if it helps.

I will probably be doing the same thing. I have the u-joints, tie rod end and hub seal to do and have been thinking about the track bar as well

Rusty thanks for the link.

I would like to also at a later date replace all the links from
the pitman arm out to the tires. The joint at the pitman arm
is wanting and that double joint at the passenger side tire has
a bad boot. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY I need MORE!

Well the last of the parts came in today. Thank You Ed.

Yesterday I picked up this beast that can do 600 Ft/Lb. I think it will find that 406 Ft/Lb is easy.
After all it's only 2/3 of the capacity.

I go to this pawn store that I know the owner at and he looks out for me.

He has some of the best goodies.
6004LDFNSS is a $800ish torque wrench if I was reading the pricing correctly.

Wouldn't do me any good to have it. I couldn't make it click or read 460 lbs. ;-)
