56 volt gauge
has anyone installed a volt gauge in a stock 56 instrument cluster?

I had my stock ammeter in my 49 converted to a voltmeter. The 48-50 ammeters do not have A,amps or ammeter on the gauge face.

thanks 49willard, I have an idiot light and was hoping to convert to a gauge, I have found threads on f1 conversions nothing for the 56 cluster. who did your conversion?

Search "Rocketman voltmeter" and you will find it. He is a Ford Cougar guy.

Get an instrument panel from an F250 or larger truck and put that one in your truck. They had gauges not idiot lights.

I replaced all of my gauges with aftermarket parts.

just make sure to get a 12v gauge, and test it on your battery before installing it. Its an easy enough swap
