F250 project decisions

So I have a truck I'm putting together and it is a 1972 f250 4x4. I'm debating whether to keep the 360 that is in it or swap to one of the other two engines I have around which is a 390 and a 460. It has a np435 transmission

Go 390..... keeping it FE is by far the simplest move.

You would probably need to change the towers to get the 460 in

You'd have better luck posting in the 67-72 forum. I'd also vote to stick FE

It's actually a 73 f250. I typed it wrong. Sorry

The 460 will require changes to the engine mounts and transmission bellhousing, and probably a different fan shroud and maybe radiator too.

390 is a direct swap for the 360.
