i can hear my ac blowing strong but is very weak coming out my vents. I can change the speed and from floor to defrost and everything between and hear and feel the change. Just not strong at all. How do I fix this?
You may have stuff blocking airflow over the evaporator. Leaves, twigs, bugs, critters, and pine needles can and will find their way into the plenum and start to pile up. One alternate answer is the blend door that changes airflow to regulate temperature. It may be unable to move to completely direct the airflow. Another is 'stuff' inside the blower wheel. If there has been any paper or leaves coming in, they can get sucked into the blower and cover the vanes. Blower speed would increase as it is in a 'no flow' condition, and is not pumping air, so there's no resistance(relative) to spinning fast.
How much is involved in checking/fixing depends on model year. What is yours? Do you have access to the blower motor under hood? If so, you can move stuff out of the way, disconnect the electric connector, and remove the blower to have a look. Some have access ports across the front of the firewall, similar to the wiper motor plate, and you can access the plenum in front of the windshield and check for blockage, small plants, and other stuff. There is likely a 'dam' of sheet metal to keep the water out while allowing air to come in, and if it is blocked, you won't get good airflow.

I have a 2000 ranger. If I can change from floor to defrost and feel the difference in each place... Should that rule out the door? I can definitely feel cold air in all areas I put in on. Just weak out of the vents. Blockage sounds like the most reasonable answer.
Also check the thumb wheel dampers beside the dash vent outlets, if they're rotated to the closed position, it'll shut off, or restrict air flow Volume from the vents!!!
