I too, would be interested in seeing storage ideas for the rear barn doors. I know I have to get in there soon to fix my rear door locking mechanism so the timing is right to make some new storage.
I remember coming across some pics of barn door mods that users had done to convert the barn doors into storage areas.
If anyone has done that I'd love to consolidate the pics here for reference, as well as the pros/cons of the mods.

Slow progress, got distracted by my running boards which I’m now replacing, but here’s the panel for one of the doors. Going to install a net webbing to the right of the compartment hole for quick access items.
