Brakes Dragging

I have replaced the rotors, pads, calibers and flex hoses. The front brakes are still dragging and getting hot. Any idea on what could be causing the issue?

Have you checked the wheel bearings for proper tightness?

Possibly the master cylinder is not allowing fluid to return?

I was thinking master cylibder. Would wheel bearings cause the brakes to drag? The heat is definately caused by the brakes.

The wheel bearings would have to be loose allowing the rotor to wobble and contact the brakes. The entire wheel would feel loose then.

Have you greased the slide pins?

I'm with hammer65. Pull the caliper, clean and inspect the slide pins, grease and reassemble. I had a 2000 Exploder that needed the slide pins greased fairly regularly or it would wear one pad twice as much as the other.

I know this is an old thread but i came across it searching for some other info, I had this same problem I had changed everything and still the breaks were dragging. The problem was that the inner and outer pads looks the same except the inner pad has a tab were the piston of the caliber would sit. make sure that pad is on the inside for the piston.

Thanks

Good reminder as folks start thinking of spring maintenance. We see this pop up now and then. This thread -> https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...installed.html has a good picture of pads.
