401 code fix
Got a lot of help here over the years, thought I would throw this in. 01 Escape throws a 401 code week before emissions of course. Checked DPFE sensor first, signal was bad. Replaced sensor, but problem returned. After checking EGR valve which was OK, moved on to the vacuum control solenoid. Hooked a vacuum gauge to the line going to EGR valve and went for a ride. No vacuum to EGR. Checked vacuum lines to the vac control and found the little red one melted most of the way through. When it melted it sealed itself off so no vacuum leak or rough idle. Problem now fixed, hope this helps someone.

I don't have this code show up yet, but I'm curious as to what code reader you're using - is it an Actron? If so, what is the model number?
I have the Actron ODB-II CP9135 but it gives an error message and won't link...
