Shock Absorober Bushing

Folks,

I was checking for a slow oil leak today and found that my shock absorber bushings have completely worn down to the point that it's either split or non existent. I've noticed a bumpy ride for a bit now.

Does it make sense to replace the absorber, or just the bushing?

If they've been on there long enough to wear through that bushing they probly need replacing anyways but I personally like the ride with blown shocks (Uncle Buck style). If you can spare the money now get some shocks, if not then you're about to find out how easy or hard it is to find and replace those bushings.

I think it makes sense to replace the whole shock. I suspect the metal on metal contact has caused a good bit of damage.

As a side note, Uncle Buck is a legend. Emulating such man can only enrich your life!
