Another P0352 code, 2008 F150 w/ 4.2L
After driving fine in town for a few hours it was parked for 45mins. Went to leave again and it was very hard to start and ran very rough when it did.
Hooked up a scanner and got a P0352 code. Pulled the coil and found a few small cracks. Installed new coil with no change.
Checked to see if I miss wired the plugs, their correct.
Checked for spark at all cyl's. #3 and #4 had no spark, swapped plug wires with known good ones and still no spark.
Got another Code P1000 Drive cycle test not complete.
Checked power to coil. Connector unplugged, Key on - had 12v on violet/white wire 0v on the other 3 wires. Connector plugged in, key on, 12v on all 4 wires.
Assumed a bad-New coil so replaced with a second new coil. No change.
Runs very rough but got it to run a drive cycle test and it reported all to be OK.
Any suggestions?
Update.
Checked plugs and gap before installing the 2nd coil, they looked fine. Went ahead and replaced them after installing the 2nd coil just in case.
Plug wires have about 20k miles on them and checked out fine.
Ohm'd wires from PCM to the coil, they all show continuity.
Pulled PCM and checked for obvious damage, bent pins, etc. Looked fine.
Just wanting to eliminate all I can before putting it in a shop or replacing the PCM.
Thanks
