V 10 gearing question

I've got an 05 v10 4x4 with 3.73's. Running 33 inch tires. I have decided 4.56 gears are for me based on speed I run, rpm's etc. My question is in regard to driving in sow and ice conditions. Currently with the 3.73's, snowy conditions are not a concern cause the rpm's are so low, I have to really get on it to "have some fun". My wife mostly drives the ex, and after she rolled my 2 door Tahoe years ago she is still skidish in the snow. For the guys that are running similar gearing, do you have to take it easy in the snow, or am I way overthinking this.
Thanks.

You'll end up with an effective 4.30 gear ratio if you stay with 33s, so you shouldn't have to watch the pedal too much.
