Overall lifetime average MPG - 15.7 MPG (hand calculated total miles/total gallons)
Towing heavy (14K lbs) - 9-11 MPG
Highway empty - 17-18 MPG
One thing I've noticed is that this engine seems to be a pig during warm up cycles. If you do a lot of short trips, your mileage will suffer. You'll also go through more regens, which also affects mileage.
This is why my average is so low up here in the last frontier...
Just recorded my best ever fuel mileage at 16.2 including a couple of regens in there.
Towing heavy (over 18k Fiver), I was between 7.2 & 8.2... A stock 7.3 would have a heckuva time trying to drag my camper up a steep hill, but this 6.7 just walks up the hills on cruise control without breaking a sweat...
This is a 9k truck and I'm pretty happy with it...
2016 F250 crew cab 4X4
from east Tn to beach of SC and back I-40, 26, 20, 95, back roads
72 mph avg interstate driving 19.9 mpg by hand.... I was very pleased
Just got back from a trip from SW Oregon to NW Washington State and back, no real mtn passes. 800 mile round trip and hand calculated at 18.6 mpg.
No complaints here. It is such a pleasure to drive.
Think about this. An 8,000 lb truck getting 19 mpg's empty on the hwy, and 11-12 mpg's towing an RV. About 17 mpg average. These are good times. I love this truck.
Exactly how I see it. I can average 19 hwy empty and 11-12 towing my 5th wheel. Coming from a 7.3 performance tuned and cat delete 97 F350 to a 2012 6.7 stock is a huge difference, most noted in fuel mileage and power performance for towing.
