Brakes

My brakes are being funky sometimes no power, next time may be fine and vice-versa. Brake booster?

Could be vacuum, break booster or air in the lines.
If the rear drums are out of adjustment, that can cause an issue as well.

Are you getting a light on the dash? Might want to add year and model as well. Little more info would go a long way with the experts on here (not me).

1995 F350 powerstroke

I need brakes. Started making noise thursday so i am going to start there. Thank for everyones help. If this doesnt fix the issue i will be back...lol

Booster / Hydrovac

When your going down the road there is vacuum on both sides of the diaphragm in the booster, when you apply the brakes the atmospheric valve allows atmospheric pressure to go to one side of diaphragm increasing brake pressure. If there’s a hole in the diaphragm it’s a giant vacuum leak. There could be a Bendix ID tag on the booster.
