6.4 trans/tuning issues
Guys,
Recently my Alt. went out and when it did it took out my EGT-RA sensor. i have not had a chance to replace it or figure out where it is located at. This may or may not be relevant info.
Originally i ran IDP tunes but since they stopped tuning the trucks i switched to GH. I was running their tow, street, and hot street tunes. For some reason my tow tune will not make more than 10 PSI of boost. No idea why but i know if i switch to Street or Hot street it's fine.
The other day i forgot about my tow tune not working and loaded it up, hooked the trailer up loaded with only around 3,500-4,000 # and sure enough it would hardly go since i couldn't make any Boost, it also cuts the fuel because it doesn't smoke at all when you try and drive. So i put the truck into the street tune to get me through the day and for some reason when the truck got to 5th gear and went to lock the TC it would loose all power for a second or more and then come right back up to power. Also when it would shift in OD it would drop all the power and come right back
So i called GH today and they first said they thought it might be an issue with the HPFP? the truck had a HPFP done at 30K then at 53K the entire fuel system went out, HPFP destroyed everything else they said. So i have a hard time thinking it is FP related since everythign is new. So then they thought it might be Trans issues since i explained a few things i didn't care for on their tunes. They told me to check the command vs actual on the TC status. I couldn't find where to do that on my SCT or Dash Daq? Can anyone tell me where to find the PID for that? and also any thoughts on whats going on with with the shifting and boost issues?
