Do Your Eyes Light Up at the Sight of This Blacked-Out Ford F-100?

It looks as if time has been kind to this Darth-Vader-approved Ford truck.

Nice truck. I appreciate good workmanship and attention to detail.

But why is the license plate all crusty? To substantiate it's not the recent repro series? Btw, I got one for my Ferrari. Stay tuned...

I think it's FTE just throwing one of the news articles into our forum. The way it's worded and all. No normal person writes like that in a casual forum.

I think it's a little too much black. Just one color is too plain.

I agree. If I wanted a trimless, all-one-color, blend-in-with-the-crowd ride I would buy a new car.

Looks like a good deal from here...but they're always different in person. I can't manage black paint. I always end up with swirl marks no matter what special wax I try, so no way would I ever own an all black truck. I can't even get my old motorcycle tank to look good.

I agree. Something fishy.

Drove this every day for 12 years. I like a little chrome and contrast to my vehicles:

All the rattle can paint on that truck looks to be it wasn't as "nice" as it is suppose to be. Rust free? Yes, but definitely used.

Aw yes a new un-buffed new paint looks supper nice.

But once it gets washed a number of times the little fine dust particles leave a trail of being wiped off. Or from a buffer swirl marks that it leaves in all paints.
But Black is more reflective almost like a mirror which really shows the dust scratches.

I had a Black Bronco that looked great as long as you were not up close to see all the web looking dust swirl starches.
Plus the need to run the AC most all summer days, never a black vehicles again.

I have a pretty much all white long bed and am going to be putting the painted white grille back on it because I think with white all of the other contours, windows, etc.. give it enough contrast.

Is it just me or does that all black truck seem longer than my all white truck?

It's because of the camera angle that does that, a common thing that fools the depth focus..

Not much on his "darth vader" look, but to each his own. I have owned my share of black vehicles over the years and the only one that I really was impressed with was an 81 mercury capri RS. When I bought it had the usual chrome and id badges and the like. Big hail storm hit. When I picked up my car, nary a chrome strip or nameplate on the car. Body shop did not ask if I wanted it that way, but I was plenty happy with it.
Drove that car until the seats nearly went through the floor boards.
Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort in the OP truck. Just not my ball of wax.

No no...I'm am pretty sure that it is not the angle, but it is in fact longer. I am not sure how much longer exactly as I have never seen one in person. I did see a yellow one once, and even though it was a long bed, it was in fact shorter.
