I have a 2011 F250 SD XLT which I don't want to lift, since it has the FX4 package on it already, and is a taller than stock, and which came with the
18x8 wheels. I only want bigger, fatter tires for it, and was looking into the 35x12.5x18 tires. any suggestions? will they rub at full turn? I also want the tires to stick out a little bit to give it a muscular look. is there a tire thread
(no pun) here at FTE?
I currently run the 275/70/18 stock size per my VIN label which are almost 35" anyway, but are a little skinny and don't give my truck the fatter, bigger tire look. Not interested on getting rims either as I would get into a big debt with a tire/wheel package. thank you.
I run the Duratracs on both of my F350's - 275/70R18. Stock size, great winter tire, summer tire, and really fills out the wheel well good. Looks like an oversized tire when it's on, but it's not.
295/70/18 is the size I recommend for you. It has the highest weight ratings, won't rub and works on the 8" rim. I know many run 35x12.50's w/o rubbing issues, but the 12.50 is supposed to be used on a 8.5" wheel or wider although I would use them on the 8" wheel.
