98 F150 Shift Points
My son and I installed a lift kit on a 98 F140 4.6L 4x4 and put on 35 inch Xterrains. The truck runs great off roading and around town, but when driving on the highway in hilly areas, its constantly downshifting and running too high before shifting when going up hills etc. I looked into a programmer but was told that it did not work on this model year. It could also use a bit more power. Can anyone help?

A Superchips Microtuner 1715 will work with 1996-2003 F-150s. It can't correct the speedometer on some 1996-1998 vehicles but you ought to be able to correct the shift points:
