T98 gear shift knob

T98 gear shift ****
I picked up a T98 transmission from a '59 or '60 F600 a few months back for parts for the T98 for my '49 F4. The transmission had a white gear shift **** on it, Is that normal? It has the correct shift pattern on it for the T98. I've never seen a white **** before, just curious.
