There is one close up pic, that just shows the diesel emblem, the front flat piece and the top piece have a very square edge, and the front angled piece has the untouched weld.

Outside of some touch up welding and grinding the rest of the exposed welds.....this thing is more or less done.

I still need to make the cutouts for the lights and I need to add the 2 inch wide lower strip (gotta buy it yet) for stiffening. I may also be adding a grill guard. If so I won't be cutting holes for lights rather will mount them to the bar

Please don't ask for plans measurements or blueprints the entire thing came out of my brain and I never did write a thing down and all of the engineering was done on the Fly. The closest I had to any type of drawings or plans was my initial sketches.

Nicely done! That looks like it took some determination and hard work.

Looks real good. A brush guard attached to that would look outstanding. What do you think it weighs?

Roughly 150, about 200 counting the winch, don't have actual weight though

What thickness of material are you using? Just curious..

I know you're practically done, but it makes a huge difference in penetration/weld quality if you spend a few minutes prepping the area you're welding by sanding down to bare metal first.

I wouldn't recommend using flux core and no surface prep on any areas that will be used for recovery points...

It's looking good. My dad was a welder and pipe fitter. I often wish I would have taken more of an interest while I was still in highschool. Anxious to see your finished product.

I'm using 20 gauge and all of my welds have been ground clean for the bevels and whatnot prior to welding as far as the surface preparation I just need to find a sandblaster so I can get this a clean and get rid of the pitting for paint

20 gauge may be a bit thin for your intended purpose. I'm hoping that's a typo.... Most winch aftermarket winch bumpers won't be less than 11 gauge, and it's common for 7 gauge for the majority of the bumper.

Mine is 7 gauge (3/16) with 3 gauge (1/4) for the winch plate and frame mounting brackets.

I'm not saying it won't work for you as long as you're not abusing it, but it might not be thick enough to stand up to any serious use.
