Tow/Haul problem
2008 F-250XL, 5.4L V8, 5 speed auto, 3.73 rear.

Two/haul fails to engage and does not light up dash indicator light from time to time. After 4 or 5 tries it usually will engage normally. No codes. Ideas?

It's usually caused by a broken wire inside of the shifter.

What Redford said.. its a software thing.. and the wire tells the computer to change programs...


just like a computer keyboard... a switch or wire.
