Maritimer with a ford, or two, or five.
Ford born,
Ford bred,
I'll drive a ford
Till the day I'm dead!
My father has always owned a ford, 94 f350 dually, 7.3 IDI (still owns, been sitting 8 years though
) then a 97 ranger, 4.0, then an 02 f350 crew cab dually, 7.3 which he sti has, daily drivers have been 2 ford minivans. My parents have been divorced since I was young, and my (now) Ex step dad also had fords. A 2001? F150 4x4, then a 2005 4x4 and to haul our camper a 2004 f350 extended cab (2005 was too) single wheel diesel. Then again, my grandfather has been into chevs since I was born
My first ford, which I still have was a 1989 ford ranger, 2.9 2wd 5spd. AWESOME little truck. Love it, hardly ANY rust because it was from out west, and actually not driven in the winter here! I bought it before I had a license for woods use, and sadly one winter rammed it into a tree
luckily, I was not harmed and the most damage done was emotional. I BARLEY got the tree, and if I was 3 more inches to the right I would have missed it! So all that needs replaced is the fender, headlight, inner fender because it broke, maybe the bumper and little trim piece. The side piece the fender bolts to is bent I do believe, but it can likely be straightened. I still do kick myself, as the truck was straight as an arrow. It has since needed a clutch slave cylinder line, I tried to replace it and failed and it have proven harder than I though to find someone to come to me and replace it. So, it's been sitting. I hate to see it sit there, but there's noting I can do. My second ford was a 92 ranger parts truck, 4.0 2wd automatic with very low mileage, that sadly rusted out. I drove it until it developed a horrid misfire, and wouldn't run worth a **** it's now being parted out then scrapped.
My third and fourth Is a story I'll explain later,
But my technical third is a 1995 f150, 4.9 4x4 auto. Good truck, has a pretty bad miss that's developed in the few weeks I've owned it. Other than that I'm happy with it.
Now, my 3rd and 4th is a funny story.
A 1969 100, and a 1968 100 I bought as a parts rig.
Where's the "F" you may be wondering, well- there was never an F. Because these are Ford garden tractors! If you want to know more about them, don't hesitate to ask!
Oh, and don't shoot me- I did own a 2001 chev, first vehicle I bought for woods use. It was cheap and worked. And that's all I needed! My grandfather actually bought it new. Staying in the family I was the 3rd owner.
