Lets talk Real time scanners

Im wanting to get a scanner for my truck. I want to be able to monitor EVERYTHING in my truck as its running. I was looking into getting a Snap-on MT2500. I was gonna use the OBD11 Adaptor with the Primary cartridge Domestic Combination thru 99. With the K-2 key and K-2a key. Is this right or do I need the fast track trouble shooter? What other scanners can I use and what does the fast track do, and what does the primary cartridge do? If I go another route what is out there and what would I need with it?

Im very confuzd on the expansion pack thing. Do I need a scanner to add the exansion pack to? Do I just use a computer? It says it only works on SD 7.3.

It says that because some of our earlier models 7.3 has to have the pcm reflashed to accept obd readings.

Not sure what year they came with obd compatibility. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in.

I use AE on mine, reads it just fine on my laptop. It can do data logs in printable versions.

9 times out of 10 the OBS has already been flashed. If you took a 94.5-95 into the dealer for work they would just flash it to make their lives a little easier

Sorry to butt in but I have a question also. What would be the advantage to getting the total Ford enhanced bundle, which is $360?

nothing says you can't use Torque. I just don't think it made it to the list yet.

I like my Aeroforce interceptor mounted full time on my steering column. I believe it will display every sensor the OBS computer looks at, two at a time, reads and clears codes, and does the injector contribution test. Apologies for no picture.

You have to enable the Ford protocols to get the other gauges. It's a little difficult to set up I'll admit but once you get it, its pretty slick.
