Opened one of the rear doors on my crew cab and there must have been several gallons of water sloshing around inside the door. WHAT THE HECK???? Shook the door a few times and water started draining out both corners of the door seam. After about an hour (I told you it was a lot of water) it seems to have stopped draining.
Now I'm wondering how long this has been going on and what the inside of the door looks like by now. Hello rust haven.
x2 on the drain plugs need to remain clean. But instead of using the POR 15 I'd suggest spraying more fluid film into the door. And keeping the drain holes clear of debris.
Yes, you guys are correct. The drains were plugged by bits of degraded rubber that came from somewhere inside the door. Removed the rubber and it flowed like Niagara.
I have noticed on my truck, the hard rubber trim on the bottom of window glass (pushes onto door sheet metal) has already started color changing & small bubbles have developed.
I had just replaced all those seal's on my 2006 F250 last year.
