Leaf spring bushing loose in hole

On my 79 F 250 I replaced a front leaf spring bushing the other day and the old one (oem style) just pushed out with little effort. I tapped the new one in with the palm of my hand. Are they supposed to be tighter than that? Here's a picture of the bushing.

Notice the description for the 1979 F250 4WD MOOG bushing, it says Rear Forward which translates to Rear Spring FRONT

If this is the bushing the OP bought, it's wrong.

Here are the Front Spring FRONT & REAR bushings:

D7TZ-5348-A .. Front Spring FRONT Bushing: 1 5/8" O.D. x 5/8" I.D. x 3 3/8" long / Obsolete

D7TZ-5348-B .. Front Spring REAR Bushing: 1 3/8" O.D. x 9/16" I.D. x 3 3/8" long / Obsolete

1977 F250 4WD from serial number Y20,001 (not a High Boy) / 1978/79: F150 Super Cab 4WD & F250 4WD / 1979 F350 4WD

You can press them out with a ball joint tool. Or make a sleeve and use a BIG C clamp. You might possibly be able to remove old ones with a bfh. And possibly put new ones in freezer for a day before trying to install them w/ bfh

The moog part I posted the picture of measures the same dimensions as the Ford part listed above.

I like to take the spring off and burn the bushings out with a torch. It's kind of a messy job but it's easy. Once the rubber is lit it will sit there and burn on its own till it falls out. Then there will be a thin sleeve left that usually needs removed to use polyurethane bushings. I usually use them because they don't need pressed.
