My bed sits up about 3/4-1" higher than the frame rail, you can see a gap between them, almost similar to a small body lift. So probably the best thing to do would be to make some up out of some oak then huh???
I found my spare. Sorry I took so long. The blocks my friend made are oak, as were the originals. He laminated two 1x2" pieces lengthwise and then cut them to size.
The dimensions are:
L: 3"
W: 2"
H: 1 5/8"
The two top edges are bevelled to a width of 1/4". You will see how the bevel allows the blocks to fit snugly into the cross sill. I installed mine with a rubber hammer. Hope this helps.

Wow - that does look awfully close to a hocky puck; It wouldn't be all that tough to shape one down to those dimensions. I like that idea a lot better than using wood, even if it is what was in there originally. A lot has changed in 40 years...
