I first got into body and paint work in the mid-60s, those days it was lead and lacquer. I got out of the trade for many years and then got back into it about 10 years ago. My how the times change! The paint seems to be very even now so all's well that ends well. Do you plan to colorsand and buff?

Paint looks even with no streaks or blotches there is plenty of clear on it so I will be sanding and buffing soon still being extra careful as there is no spot repairing this paint will look great when done but is a real pain in my a$$
Looking good! Looks like you are having fun with the fender on the stand...this makes a painful job even tougher. Here is an idea that you may consider...I made a stand that holds both fenders. Comes in handy for when you are repairing, painting, or buffing... And it holds them nicely when you have them stored waiting for install.

I built a stand that I had the cab on then used for all four fenders at once for painting and buffing has large wheels so I can move it around I'll try to get a picture tomorrow
just thought the first picture I posted shows stand setting on jack stands with the fenders clamped on
love those wheels. Dbran is that a power steer unit lurking in the truck and if so which one ?
I live just a couple of miles from summit racing those wheels came of there scratch and dent table and I paid $50. each and yes that is a Toyota p/s box
