New paint and new bedliner

I finally got the paint on my truck during the holidays after many delays. I also managed to get my Raptor spray-on liner done, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I hope they both hold up for a few years.

Now, I'm in the process of wet sanding and buffing the clearcoat. It's a job I loathe because there's something unnatural about scuffing shiny clearcoat. It is also is just incredibly boring.

Looking good. What is that color? And don't say blue. I can see that.

Color is "Blurple" . Is the bedliner spray in with a gun or rattle can ? my body shop used the roll on herculiner - I don't think it looks as good as yours.

The color is pacific blue from www.thecoatingstore.com. They sell kits at a good value.

The bedliner is the Raptor kit from amazon.com. It comes with a gun. It comes with liter bottles that you top off with hardener, shake, and spray. It was pretty easy. I got the 8 bottle kit for my long bed. The stuff goes pretty fast, but it was enough for two thick coats. I still have to do the tailgate, and I'm probably going to put a thin coat on the fender liners.

Did you paint yourself or pay someone to apply? Definitely looking forward to finished product!

Raptor is made by a company called Upol. They're a British company, and they make all kinds of auto refinishing products from bed liner to steam sealer to paints and primers. They are a very reputable in the automotive refinishing world. Good stuff!

Nice job on the paint. How much paint did it take and how many coats were applied and the same for the clear. I'm getting ready to order some paint and this information would be helpful.
Thanks

I'd also be interested in your spraying equipment. I've been weighing trying to do it myself vs doing all the prep work and paying someone to spray it. I've done smaller things before but never anything close to this size.

I used a little over a gallon of base - I'm sure I used way too much. I'm just paranoid.

I used 1.5 gallons of clear. Keep in mind, I used neither inside the bed. I sprayed the bedliner directly over a fresh coat of epoxy primer.

I have a Devilbiss Plus gun that I sprayed primer, base, and clear with. It's an inexpensive gun that came with three tips, and I've always had good results with their guns. I got a cheapo gun to spray the high build primer.

I think I am going to give the Raptor bed liner kit a try.

Spoiler
Just for my curiousity..... which kit did you need for your project?
I have a LWB body that I want to put it on.

Never mind..... I re-read your original post and now I see you got the 8 quart kit.

Thanks!
Mike
