Glow Plug Relay question
I have a 1999 F-350 Superduty 7.3 that was bought in California. I need to change the glow plug relay. Question is: old relay has the Calif. emission on it, but since I now live in Alabama, can it be replaced with a non-emission rely? Price difference is big.

The problem is the PCM on your truck will only look for the GPCM and not a standard relay. You'll end up with error codes and a truck that will be hard to start because the glow plugs won't kick on.
Your best bet is to go ahead and replace the GPCM.
