Glow plug relay question

Glow plug relay question
I have an '83 Ranger with the Perkins 2.2. I believe that my glow plug relay is bad, but cannot locate a new one of the same type. (Napa, Autozone, etc.) Can I substitute the GPR109SB?

try looking on the Oriely web site, some times you have to dig some to pull up the right part, the gpr8 by BWD is the right one for the 7.3 not sure if it would work correctly with only 4 gps, may need different current limiting resister

for a glow plug relay it don't matter how many plugs are on it, it only acts like a switch. the controller determines how long they stay on. you should be fine with the NAPA GPR-109SB

i would think with only 4 glow plugs, that relay is going to last you a long time.
i used to get around 2 years out of them with my power strokes putting the current of 8 glow plugs through them. i have since switched to a stancor relay.
