What part do I order?

I have a 1991 f150 4.9 5 speed 2 wheel drive. I was preparing to replace my u-joints and noticed the transmission output shaft seal boot (I believe boot is the correct term) is torn. Looking up parts, I cannot find s seal listed for a 5 speed that has a boot. I have attached pictures of my transmission tag and one of the boot. I am not the original owner so I am uncertain if anything was replaced in the past. I have searched Motorcraft, Advance Auto, and Rockauto.

Oops. I don't know why the picture orientation is upside down.

Interesting, the only seals on RockAuto with the boot are for the T18 4speed. You might have to go to a dealer to see what's going on.

I saw that too. It's possible it was replaced with the wrong seal.

You have an iPhone, don't you????

Seal shouldn't be a problem to find.
What brand or store do you want?

Thanks for the information. I believe it is the wrong seal. Will order the correct one. And ArdWrknTrk, I do have an iPhone. Do I need to upload pictures a different way next time? Or just "head space and timing issue" on my part?

It's been an issue since iOS 5.
Metadata in the image file causes the picture to display inverted when shared with anything but an Apple iOS device.

I don't have an easy answer to why it doesn't 'just work'

My comment wasn't meant as a dig at you, or anything other than an observation, in reply to you asking why your pictures were upside down.

(I'm going to edit this to iOS device, since the poster below me said it doesn't appear correctly on his iMac)

Your response was not taken as a dig at me. Just wanting to learn. I have been using this site since early 2011. I really enjoy working on my vehicles.

Ha, interesting. I had assumed that you went back and fixed the pictures because up until now i had been seeing them on my phone. It apparently does not fix the orientation and turn them right side up on an iMac.

.Just to satisfy my curiosity, I did an internet search for that part number (E8TZ-7052-C) and found it at Rockauto for a 1989 f150 with Mazda 5 speed. Kind of upsets me that I could have ordered the wrong part. I will be ordering a Motorcraft part this weekend. Thanks NumberDummy
