Wheel tire question..

o I bought some 2011 stock take off your wheels/tires and the rear center cap won't fit over the hub and the front center cap won't latch onto my lug nuts.. I realize that I need spacers to get the center caps to fit right but what year lug nuts work with the 2011 center caps.. Mine is 2003 X 7.3 4x4 and I have my stock 2003 lug nuts on there now. Also what size spacer do I need up front to get a 37" tire to fit with a 4.5" lift.. These stock take offs are 18x8s..

The socket I use to remove my lugs is 21mm. I'd guess the nut depth would be approx. 5/8"?

You also need to check wheel back spacing. I believe the 2011 wheels have more than the 2003 does causing the wheel to sit closer to the center of the truck. The distance from wheel flange to wheel flange is wider on 05 and up than the leaf spring trucks, so the tires may rub on the frame, springs etc. besides looking funny, that can have an effect on handling.

The wheels you bought stick in nearly 2" inches because of the positive 40mm offset on 2005+ trucks. They won't work with 2" spacers and 37's. You need to get at least -24mm offset wheels and you won't need spacers.

So what if I wanna make them work what do I need to do? I really like the stock look of these wheels. Also are both the 2003 and 2011 lug nuts the same thread pitch? I don't wanna have to change out all 32 wheel studs.. If I but 2011 lugs will they work on my current studs?

Get a set of quality 2" hubcentric spacers and run max size tire of 35x12.50. Or get different wheels with neg offset. Not sure on lug nuts. It would be a matter of factory lugnuts for your truck not stud replacement.
