No start

No start

My 2006 6.0 shut off immediatEly after starting this morning and never started back up. I have a scan Guage 2 hooked up. I'm showing no ficm voltage and no sync even when cranking. I physically checked the ficm voltage with a dvm at the screw to the far right on the ficm, and I have 48 volts. Why do I have 48 volts at the ficm, but 0 volts showing on my scan guage? And no sync when cranking?

Our ECM's are pretty good at preventing a start when something is awry. What is your injection control pressure voltage reading key on engine off? What about injection control pressure psi, and injection pressure regulator duty cycle? How do these numbers change during cranking?

I'll need to check the ice voltage again this morning. My icp pressure rises to over 1000 psi when cranking. My ipr rises to 35 or better when cranking. I'm wondering why I have good ficm voltage at the pin, but nothing showing on scan guage.

Icp .24 volts koeo. 1.55 cranking scan guage showing 0.00 ficm koeo or cranking. I have 48 volts at the pin when I test with a dvm.

Presuming fuses are all good - always a good idea to double and even triple check - I'd pull the FICM out and drop it in another 6.0 as an easy way to rule it in or out. Any Powerstroke-programmed FICM will start and run any other Powerstroke regardless of model year.
